Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to assess risks and determine appropriate coverage for our policyholders. The ideal candidate will analyse information provided by applicants and make informed decisions about approvals, coverages, and premiums.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive underwriting guidelines for various insurance products.
• Assess potential challenges and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Conduct regular audits of underwriting processes to ensure compliance.
• Participate in team meetings to share insights and learn from colleagues.
• Build relationships with agents to facilitate clearer communication and understanding.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
• Professional qualifications in underwriting are an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in risk assessment or related fields

Technical Skills

• Policy drafting
• Statistical analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF)
• CPCU designation is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
