Job Description

As a Major Gifts Officer, you will develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aimed at securing major gifts from high net worth individuals and corporations. Your role is pivotal in achieving our mission and expanding our reach within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts.
  • Collaborate with the Annual Giving Manager to ensure a seamless donor experience.
  • Work alongside the Communications Manager to create impactful fundraising materials.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated on fundraising best practices.
  • Manage donor information and generate reports in collaboration with the Database Coordinator.
  • Actively participate in donor cultivation events to foster relationships.
  • Coordinate with leadership to align fundraising objectives with the organization’s mission.
  • Identify new opportunities for engagement with potential major donors.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Experience
  • A strong track record in major gifts fundraising, including experience with individual and corporate donors and foundations.
