Residential Green Building Designer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Residential Green Building Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will design and develop sustainable residential buildings that are energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and compliant with green building standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of innovative green building projects.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.
• Implement sustainable construction practices and techniques.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with local legislation and standards.
• Co-ordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure project delivery.
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations to measure sustainability performance.
• Engage with the community for feedback and improvements.
• Support the R&D team on new sustainable practices.
• Design training workshops on green building practices for staff.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Architecture or related field is preferred
• Certification in Green Building Design or similar

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in sustainable residential design

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Building Energy Modelling Software

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Creativity

Advantageous

• Experience in commercial green building design: Experience in designing sustainable commercial properties.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations: Active member of industry-related professional bodies.
