Project Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Project Engineer to join our talented team in Hobart. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of general engineering principles and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and safety standards. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships to understand and meet their requirements.
• Track and report on project key performance indicators.
• Work closely with the design team to ensure project feasibility.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovations.
• Hold project kick-off meetings and develop post-project evaluations.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and filed appropriately.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in project engineering with a focus on civil projects

Technical Skills

• Engineering Design
• Contract Management

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Project Management Practitioner (CPMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM): Knowledge of BIM processes for improving project delivery.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards and Codes: Understanding of compliance with local engineering codes and regulations.
