Job Description

As a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients with varying conditions. This position requires you to assess, treat, and educate patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Perform spirometry and other pulmonary function tests.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage patient flow and adjust workloads as necessary based on patient needs.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes in the EMR.
• Develop educational materials for patients regarding respiratory health.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide direct care to patients in acute care settings as needed.
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment and modify plans accordingly.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed rigorously.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Respiratory Therapy
• Postgraduate qualification in Respiratory Therapy preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in respiratory therapy, with critical care experience preferred

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
