Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Wollongong team. The ideal candidate will have experience in design and analysis, as well as strong problem-solving skills to contribute to innovative engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from conception through to completion.
• Perform thorough analysis of mechanical systems and their performance.
• Coordinate with clients to establish project goals and requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholder reviews.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry practices.
• Implement best practices for project management and engineering.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Foster a collaborative work environment among engineering teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role

• Mechanical Design
• Prototyping and Testing

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (RPE)
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in HVAC systems: Knowledge of designing HVAC systems for various applications.
• Lean Manufacturing Experience: Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles in engineering.
