Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Passenger Brakeman to ensure the safe operation of passenger trains. This role involves monitoring train movements, performing safety checks, and providing assistance to passengers, making safety the top priority.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Passenger Conductor in operational duties.
• Conduct pre-departure safety inspections and checks.
• Facilitate efficient boarding and alighting for passengers.
• Provide updates regarding train arrival and departure information.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams regarding train conditions.
• Actively participate in training programs for new staff.
• Monitor equipment functionality and report issues.
• Implement safety procedures during emergencies.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for passengers.
• Ensure timely communication of any disruptions.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Rail Operations
• Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licence

Experience

• Experience working with automated train control systems is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge
