Job Description

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing heart conditions through echocardiograms. You’ll work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals, ensuring patient care is at the forefront of our services.

Responsibilities

  • Administer echocardiograms and assess results for abnormalities.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working condition and report maintenance needed.
  • Collect and document patient medical histories relevant to imaging services.
  • Engage with medical staff to discuss and strategize patient care approaches.
  • Assist in the quality assurance and improvement of echocardiography services.
  • Provide training and support to junior sonographers and students.
  • Implement updates to protocols as needed based on best practices.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings to discuss case studies and developments.
  • Track and manage patient appointment schedules efficiently.
  • Stay current with advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sonography or relevant field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography
