Machine Feeders and Offbearers

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Machine Feeder and Offbearer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, estimating and ensuring the proper handling of materials for various construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Measure and estimate quantities of construction materials.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure accurate estimations.
• Prepare detailed reports on material usage and cost estimates.
• Ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
• Work with the safety team to ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to estimating practices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar field
• Additional certifications in estimating are a plus

Experience

• Experience in commercial and industrial construction projects

Technical Skills

• Architectural Drawing Interpretation
• Cost Estimation

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with construction project management software: Hands-on experience with tools like Procore or BuilderTrend.
• Knowledge of multiple trades: Experience in cost estimating for carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
