Job Description

As a Sawing Machine Operator at WoodWorks Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in our timber processing operations. Your responsibilities will include setting up machines, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all timber cuts meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate sawing machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct inspections of raw materials before processing.
• Record production data for quality control.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a factory or sawmill environment preferred

Technical Skills

• Basic machinery maintenance skills
• Safety regulations knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina

Advantageous

• Knowledge of sustainable forestry practices: Understanding sustainable practices in timber processing.
