Job Description

We are in search of a passionate K-12 School Psychologist who will provide vital psychological support and guidance for our students. You will be responsible for conducting psychoeducational assessments, delivering counselling services, and collaborating with educators to foster a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students' psychological and educational needs through various assessment tools.
  • Counsel students exhibiting behavioral and emotional issues, providing tailored strategies for improvement.
  • Consult with teachers and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.
  • Implement and review behavioural management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Offer professional development sessions for school staff on mental health awareness and intervention techniques.
  • Collaborate with external health professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Engage in school-based prevention programs aimed at fostering a supportive community.
  • Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld in all student interactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Current AHPRA registration required
Experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in school settings
