Math Tutor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Math Tutor to provide one-on-one tutoring services to students of all ages and levels. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and teaching skills, a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and theories, and a passion for helping others succeed in their academic pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive math lessons to students of different ages and abilities.
• Assess students' understanding of concepts regularly and adapt strategies as needed.
• Provide support for advanced mathematics courses such as calculus or statistics.
• Collaborate with other tutors and educators to continuously improve the quality of our tutoring services.
• Encourage students to set academic goals and help them achieve those.
• Utilize technology and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Communicate effectively with both students and their families.
• Facilitate group study sessions when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
• Support students with learning disabilities or special needs appropriately.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Teaching Certificate is preferred

Experience

• Demonstrated ability to help students achieve academic success

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
