Job Description

As a Newborn Hearing Screener, your primary responsibility will be to conduct hearing screenings for newborns. You will play an essential role in identifying children who may require further evaluation. This role demands keen attention to detail and outstanding communication skills with families and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Administer newborn hearing tests using appropriate screening technologies.
• Summarise screening results and report findings to the healthcare team.
• Educate families on hearing health and available community resources.
• Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of hearing checks.
• Document cases requiring further assessment in electronic medical records.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Audiology or a related field
• Post-graduate qualification in Audiology is preferred

Experience

• Experience working with infants and children is highly valued.

• Digital health record management

Certifications

• Certificate in newborn hearing screening
