Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in Bairnsdale. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic support, individual and group counselling, and collaborate with a range of health professionals to enhance client care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic services that adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance counseling techniques.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations to monitor client progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions.
• Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote awareness of mental health resources.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mental Health, Counseling, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

• Crisis Intervention

Certifications

• Mental Health First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual Skills: Ability to speak another language is advantageous.
