Job Description

As a Canine Officer, you will work with a specially trained police dog to prevent and solve crimes. Your role will involve conducting searches, apprehending suspects, and providing essential support in various public safety operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the K-9 unit for effective crime prevention.
  • Conduct regular assessments of canine behavior and performance.
  • Provide assistance during emergency situations requiring canine intervention.
  • Help facilitate the procurement of K-9 training equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing training for skill enhancement.
  • Promote positive community relations through K-9 demonstrations.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a police officer
  • Certification for K-9 handlers is preferred
  • Valid driver's license
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in law enforcement, with some experience in K-9 operations
