Ophthalmic Medical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Ophthalmic Medical Technicians who are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our ophthalmologists. The successful candidates will perform various diagnostic tests and assist in ophthalmic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed diagnostic tests and assist in preparing patients for examinations.
• Aid in administering anaesthesia and medications during procedures.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working order; conduct routine checks.
• Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to the ophthalmologist.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and operational improvements.
• Help maintain inventory of supplies and order as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology or related field

Experience

• Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment and procedures is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
