Job Description

The Flat Lock Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that sew and join fabric together in a manufacturing setting. This role requires attention to detail and knowledge of garment construction to ensure high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Operate flat lock machines to produce high-quality seams for various apparel products.
• Ensure products are sewn according to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to address production hurdles and optimize workflows.
• Train new employees on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inventory checks of supplies required for sewing operations.
• Follow detailed instructions and technical specifications for optimal output.
• Keep production area organized and compliant with safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in apparel manufacturing preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Proficient in operating flat lock machines
• Regular machine maintenance

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Attention to safety

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with pattern making and cutting: Ability to create patterns and cut fabric accordingly.
