Roofing Machine Tender

Job Description

As a Roofing Machine Tender, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining state-of-the-art machinery that produces premium roofing materials. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operation and maintenance of roofing machinery.
• Inspect production runs for quality assurance and efficiency.
• Record production data and report any discrepancies.
• Assist in changing machine settings for varying product specifications.
• Maintain communication with the production supervisor regarding any production issues.
• Help train new employees on equipment operation and safety practices.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with material management.
• Ensure all production equipment is cleaned and maintained regularly.
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Manufacturing or equivalent
• Forklift license is advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
