Job Description

ABC Company is seeking a skilled Tower Observer to join our air traffic control team in Sydney. The successful candidate will oversee air traffic, ensuring safe operations while coordinating with pilots and other air traffic control units. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilise radar systems to track and manage air traffic efficiently.
• Provide timely instructions and updates to pilots regarding flight status.
• Ensure effective communication with neighbouring air traffic control facilities.
• Administer first-aid and emergency protocols as necessary.
• Document and report incidents and irregularities in air traffic management.
• Partake in ongoing professional development and compliance training.
• Support training of new air traffic control personnel as required.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Aviation (Air Traffic Control) or equivalent
• Higher education in aviation management preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in air traffic control, with proficiency in tower operations.
