Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Stretcher Operator to join our dynamic healthcare team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of patients throughout the medical facility using stretchers. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring patients receive timely care while maintaining their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient transport for patients requiring stretcher assistance.
• Ensure adherence to patient comfort and safety standards throughout the transportation process.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely transfers.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance on stretching equipment.
• Follow strict infection control policies to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist in the movement of patients in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Participate in ongoing training for improved handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of stretcher usage and patient transfers.
• Respond swiftly to patient needs during transport.
• Assist with any additional tasks as required within the healthcare team.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as a Stretcher Operator or similar role is preferred.
