Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Police and Sheriff's Patrol Officers to join the Mounted Police Unit in Sydney. As a part of this specialized division, you will focus on promoting community safety through mounted patrols and proactive policing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong horsemanship skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Administer first aid as required in emergency situations.
  • Attend community meetings to discuss safety concerns and provide updates.
  • Assist with the training of new recruits as needed.
  • Drive engagement and participation in safety workshops and programs.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures during patrols.
  • Conduct evaluations of horse performance and training requirements.
  • Liaise with local community groups to discuss policing initiatives.
  • Utilize technology and reporting tools to enhance patrolling efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Completed high school education or equivalent
  • Diploma in Public Safety or Criminal Justice preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' law enforcement or military experience is preferred.
