Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing surgery. You will work in close collaboration with surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure that protocols are followed and that patients are informed and comfortable throughout their surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-operative patient education sessions to enhance patient understanding and compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and healthcare practices.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Document all patient interactions and maintain confidentiality according to regulations.
• Facilitate patient referrals to appropriate specialists when required.
• Encourage and support family involvement in patient care plans.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to track patient status and outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree
• Additional certifications such as Perioperative Nursing or Critical Care Nursing are advantageous.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a specialized surgical area such as neurology or cardiology is a plus.
