Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Iron and Steel Worker to join our Kalgoorlie team. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of bolting techniques and safety procedures, ensuring mining operations run efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Install roof bolts, mesh, and ground support systems in mine workings.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards.
• Operate drilling rigs and maintain equipment.
• Participate in pre-start safety meetings and briefings.
• Ensure materials are handled and stored safely.
• Assist in training junior team members on safe practices.
• Document and report on site activities and issues.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Mining Operations
• Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in underground mining environments is an asset

Languages

• English: Fluent
