Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Gemology Instructor to teach aspiring gemologists about the identification, grading, and evaluation of gemstones. This role demands a blend of industry expertise and a passion for education to inspire and equip students.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on sessions on gemology principles.
Create and manage assessment tools to evaluate student understanding.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
Conduct workshops that explore practical aspects of gemstone evaluation.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program improvements.
Assist in the organization of industry-related events and activities.
Mentor students seeking guidance in their career paths.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Gemology or a related field
Masters or other degrees are advantageous
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the gemstone industry and/or teaching
