Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our Brisbane team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing care to our beloved pets. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to animal welfare and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to identify health issues and provide appropriate treatments.
  • Oversee surgical procedures and post-operative care.
  • Educate pet owners on health management and preventive care.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as required.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform treatment.
  • Collaborate with specialists as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and interns.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote animal health.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Registration with Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
Experience
  • 2+ years of clinical experience as a practicing veterinarian

Advantageous
