Waste Handler

Job Description

The Waste Handler is responsible for the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials across various sites. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, assist in recycling efforts, and maintain a clean working environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement waste management plans during operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of waste removal equipment.
• Document and report any incidents or near misses to management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of waste disposal supplies and tools.
• Engage with local communities to promote sustainable waste practices.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certifications related to waste management are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in waste management or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Equipment Maintenance
• Knowledge of Environmental Regulations

• Teamwork
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Forklift Certification (preferred)
• Chemical Handling Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent
