Job Description

As a Barn Worker, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations in our barn, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our animals. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the barn and surrounding areas.
  • Provide proper feeding and hydration to animals.
  • Assist with monitoring animal health including regular check-ups.
  • Conduct minor repairs to fencing and fixtures.
  • Record any animal behavior changes and report to management.
  • Follow and enforce all safety and health regulations.
  • Help with breeding management and handling newborn animals.
  • Move animals as required for care or training purposes.
  • Engage with the public and clients, providing information and assistance.
  • Stay updated on best practices in animal husbandry.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate in Animal Husbandry or equivalent is a plus
Experience
  • Experience with specific animals (horses, cows, etc.) is advantageous.
