Crane and Tower Operator

Job Description

The Ladle Crane Operator plays a crucial role in our steel manufacturing process by operating cranes to lift and transport molten metal. This role requires a blend of technical skills, safety awareness, and teamwork to ensure efficient production and a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate ladle crane to transfer molten steel from furnace to casting area.
• Monitor the temperature and quality of the molten steel.
• Report any issues with cranes or steel quality to the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following safety policies.
• Assist the Steelmaking team with various tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) – Crane Stream
• Current High Risk Work Licence for Slewing Mobile Cranes up to 60 tonnes
• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Ladle Crane Operator within a foundry or steel manufacturing facility.
