Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Mount Gambier. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Assist with the training and supervision of junior technicians.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the safety culture.
• Stay updated on new technologies and practices in mechanical engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma of Engineering - Mechanical or related field is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in mechanical repair and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
• CAD Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift License: Holding a valid forklift license is a plus.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles: Familiarity with Lean practices in a manufacturing context.
