Commercial Diver

Job Description

The Commercial Diver, also known as a Submarine Diver, will conduct underwater inspections, maintenance, and repair work on submarines. This role also involves assisting the submarine crew during emergencies, enhancing the overall safety and operational efficiency of underwater missions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct underwater surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
• Perform underwater demolitions and target detection when necessary.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of submarines and other naval vessels.
• Implement safety and security protocols during operations.
• Video document underwater activities using specialized equipment.
• Engage in continuous training to remain current with diving techniques.
• Provide technical support to submarine personnel during missions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment.
• Develop underwater navigation plans for operational missions.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of the Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver Course
• Certifications in hyperbaric medical treatment is highly regarded

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Submarine Diver in operational environments.

Technical Skills

• Experience with ROVs
• Underwater salvage operations

• English: Fluent
