Job Description

The Binding Bench Worker is responsible for performing binding and finishing operations on various printed materials such as books, magazines, and catalogues. This role requires strong attention to detail and a knack for operating binding machinery effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage binding processes from start to finish, ensuring efficiency.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to prevent breakdowns.
  • Implement best practices for productivity and quality assurance.
  • Provide feedback on new processes or machinery that could enhance production.
  • Support a positive team environment through effective communication.
  • Assist in inventory management of binding supplies.
  • Participate in health and safety training and adhere to all regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Printing and Graphic Arts (Binding and Finishing) or equivalent
  • Experience with specific binding processes is an asset
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in binding and finishing operations.
