Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you will assess and implement security measures to protect our network and data. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant with standards.

Responsibilities

• Design security architecture and develop security systems.
• Assist in the investigation of breaches, tracking down and documenting any malicious activity.
• Maintain a strong awareness of new threats and vulnerabilities.
• Report findings to management and suggest security enhancements.
• Create comprehensive documentation of security policies and procedures.
• Work alongside compliance teams for regulatory standards and certifications.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training to all employees.
• Collaborate with IT to implement security technologies and software updates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree or relevant certifications are an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Data Protection

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting: Experience with automating security tasks through scripting.
• Hands-on experience with incident response: Practical experience managing or responding to security incidents.
