Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Wollongong. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to develop new engineering methodologies.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the design process.
• Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for projects.
• Conduct technical presentations and workshops.
• Review and evaluate existing designs for improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Advanced CAD Modeling
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping and Testing

Soft Skills

• Project Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ISO standards: Familiarity with ISO standards related to mechanical engineering.
