Travelift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travelift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the Travelift equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of boats and other watercraft within our busy marina. Candidates with previous experience in similar roles are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Travelift machinery efficiently to lift and transport boats and vessels.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on the equipment.
• Coordinate with the marina team to schedule and execute dockage and retrieval of boats.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations.
• Prepare and maintain records of lift operations and maintenance activities.
• Assist with general marina operations as needed.
• Provide assistance in training new staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding job tasks and deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license
• Heavy machinery operation certification or relevant vocational training

Experience

• Experience in the marine/boating industry is preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to operate other types of heavy machinery: Experience with different heavy machinery will be a plus.
