Youth Pastor

Job Description

As a Youth Pastor at Community Church, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of our youth members through spiritual mentorship and community outreach. Your leadership will involve developing impactful programs and fostering a welcoming environment for all young people, helping them grow in their faith and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate spiritual growth and development through tailored programs for different age groups.
• Create communication strategies to engage youth through social media and other platforms.
• Collaborate with other church ministries for joint activities and events.
• Encourage volunteerism among youth in church and community services.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of youth programs and propose improvements.
• Offer support to families of youth members as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in youth ministry or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership abilities

Soft Skills

• Empathy and understanding
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Youth Ministry Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in organizing youth retreats or camps: Knowledge and skills in planning and conducting youth-centered retreats.
• Ability to play a musical instrument and lead worship: Musical skills that can enhance the worship experience for youth.
