Job Description

The Drill Press Setup Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating drill presses according to specifications provided by the production team. The Operator will be required to ensure production goals are met with the highest level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain drill press machines to perform drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring operations on metal components.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Monitor machine performance and quality of output.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of parts.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Document production activities and outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certification in mechanical engineering or a similar field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.

Languages
