Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer to support our engineering projects in Cairns. Your role will involve creating and optimizing mechanical systems, performing simulations and analyses, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering plans and specifications.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials.
• Feasibility studies for new projects and technologies.
• Assist in the development of project proposals.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain project documentation and update records as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree or additional certifications are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical design role

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with 3D printing technologies: Hands-on experience in applying 3D printing in engineering designs.
