Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing therapy, counselling, and medication management in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of clients.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions in various formats (individual, group, teletherapy).
  • Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary.
  • Teach clients coping strategies and coping mechanisms.
  • Document treatment plans and patient progress in electronic health records.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree with expertise in psychiatry
  • Specialist training in adolescent psychiatry is an added advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in mental health settings
