Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing therapy, counselling, and medication management in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of clients.
Facilitate therapy sessions in various formats (individual, group, teletherapy).
Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Implement evidence-based therapies and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary.
Teach clients coping strategies and coping mechanisms.
Document treatment plans and patient progress in electronic health records.
Requirements
Education
Medical degree with expertise in psychiatry
Specialist training in adolescent psychiatry is an added advantage
Experience
5+ years of clinical experience in mental health settings
