Job Description

As a Health and Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust safety measures that protect employees in industrial settings. You will assess risks, develop preventative strategies, and provide critical training to ensure compliance and enhance workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve existing safety protocols to enhance workplace safety.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Design and deliver safety training tailored to departmental needs.
  • Collaborate with all levels of staff to address safety concerns and requirements.
  • Advise on the correct handling of hazardous materials.
  • Facilitate the implementation of safety initiatives across the organization.
  • Engage and educate employees on health and safety legislation.
  • Assist in the emergency response planning and crisis management.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Engineering preferred
  • Additional certifications in safety management are a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in industrial settings.
