Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social and Human Service Assistant to join our Sydney team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them navigate through their struggles and enhance their well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing individual treatment plans for clients in collaboration with counselors.
  • Maintain accurate records of client outcomes and developments.
  • Engage with clients to assess their needs and provide support accordingly.
  • Help clients access community resources and services.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care.
  • Utilize electronic health records software to input and manage client data.
  • Encourage clients to set and achieve personal goals.
  • Participate in workshops and training to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and liaise with emergency services.
  • Promote a supportive and safe environment for clients and staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in mental health or social services

Certifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) or equivalent
Languages
