Job Description

Heritage Protectors Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Cultural Resources Specialist to oversee the preservation and management of our cultural heritage initiatives in Australia. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Australian cultural heritage laws and have strong analytical skills to support preservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cultural heritage impact assessments for development projects.
  • Work with local councils and organisations to ensure cultural heritage preservation.
  • Coordinate and manage field surveys and excavations.
  • Prepare communication materials for community engagement and education.
  • Monitor cultural sites and maintain relationships with traditional landowners.
  • Stay informed about current legislation and changes in cultural heritage management.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for cultural heritage management.
  • Conduct research related to the significance of cultural artifacts and heritage.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Cultural Resource Management, Archaeology, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cultural resources management
