Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Gold Coast practice. In this role, you'll contribute to the health and welfare of a variety of animal patients, working alongside our experienced veterinary team to provide top-notch medical and surgical care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostics under supervision.
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Ensure the clinic is stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
  • Educate clients on animal health issues and preventative care.
  • Manage the reception area and assist clients as needed.
  • Coordinate with other veterinary professionals for referral cases.
  • Participate in training new staff and interns.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist in the development of clinic protocols and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary setting
