Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Test Borer Helper to support our Test Borer Operators in gathering essential soil and rock samples. This role involves working in varied locations, assisting with drilling operations, and ensuring efficient collection and transportation of samples for further analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Test Borer Operator by preparing and loading equipment.
  • Collect geological samples from designated sites and deliver them for analysis.
  • Document and report site conditions and sample data accurately.
  • Help ensure that the boreholes are drilled in accordance with project specifications.
  • Participate in maintaining safety standards and procedures at work sites.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
  • Coordinate with geologists and field technicians during sample collection.
  • Work in remote locations and adapt to varying working conditions.
  • Assist in preparing reports based on collected data.
  • Engage in team discussions to improve operational processes.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma in geoscience or mining is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in a drilling or geotechnical environment is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Experience operating drilling equipment
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping software

Certifications
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Valid driver's license
Languages
  • English: Fluent
