We are looking for a skilled Telegraph Repeater Installer to become part of our dynamic team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telegraph repeater equipment across various locations. Your expertise will ensure the seamless functioning of our telecommunication systems, allowing for effective communication in even the most remote areas. We value your ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform routine inspections, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Execute the installation of new telegraph repeater units.
• Manage the maintenance schedule for existing equipment.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve service delivery.
• Assist in the development of training materials for staff.
• Communicate with vendors for supply chain needs.
• Develop and maintain an asset management system.
• Offer feedback on process improvements and efficiency.
• Establish good relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in project planning and execution discussions.
• Compile feedback on the performance of equipment installed.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Telecommunications or equivalent
• First Aid Certification (preferred)

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in telecommunications installation or maintenance.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Fiber Optics: Hands-on experience with fiber optic installations will be a plus.
