Job Description

As a Workers' Compensation Administrative Law Judge, you will oversee administrative hearings and ensure just resolutions. Your expert knowledge of the law, along with your analytical abilities, will be essential as you evaluate evidence and provide sound legal decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Preside over hearings and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Evaluate cases fairly, considering all evidence presented.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive records of hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the hearing.
  • Foster a balanced and impartial hearing environment.
  • Stay informed of developments in workers' compensation law.
  • Attend training and workshops to enhance adjudication skills.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure hearing processes are transparent.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to other judges as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Admission as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of an Australian state or territory
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative law, particularly in hearings.
