Kiln Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Kiln Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of kilns, ensuring their optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on kilns to avoid failures.
• Debug and fix kiln-related issues promptly.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to achieve operational efficiency.
• Monitor kiln performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in safety audits and training programs.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems.
• Provide technical support during production changes.
• Assist in stock management of spare parts.
• Foster a culture of safety within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Additional certifications in kiln technology is a plus

Experience

• Experience in the ceramic, cement or glass industries preferred
