Job Description

As an Urban Planner with the Urban Development Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Perth. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to devise innovative planning solutions and ensure that projects align with local regulations and community needs. Your expertise will contribute to sustainable urban growth, revitalising public spaces, and enhancing the overall quality of life in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Design urban spaces that enhance community connectivity and access.
  • Collaborate with local government bodies on policy updates and planning reforms.
  • Facilitate workshops to engage and educate the community.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with planning approvals.
  • Prepare visual presentations for project proposals.
  • Assess and mitigate environmental impacts of development projects.
  • Work with legal teams on land use disputes and planning appeals.
  • Support the development of strategic urban planning frameworks.
  • Stay current with trends in sustainable urban planning and design.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field
  • Master's degree in Urban Studies or Environmental Planning is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in urban planning or development
