Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Switchboard Operator to efficiently manage incoming calls and assist our customers with their inquiries. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth communication within our organization, providing timely information, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Document all inquiries and ensure they are addressed promptly.
• Support other team members as required to enhance service delivery.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the switchboard equipment.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Handle complaints or escalations with empathy and professionalism.
• Stay updated on company services and policies to provide accurate information.
• Foster a collaborative environment by assisting colleagues and contributing to team efforts.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant training in telecommunications or customer service is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• Telephone switchboard systems
• Microsoft Office Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with multi-line telephone systems: Familiarity with handling multiple incoming calls simultaneously.
