Job Description

As a Switchboard Wire Worker Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the installation and maintenance of electrical switchboards and wiring systems. This position requires technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with experienced wire workers. You will follow instructions to ensure safety and efficiency on-site while assisting with a variety of electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and repair of electrical switchboards.
• Follow safe work practices and report any safety hazards.
• Assist in conducting inspections and studies to rectify electrical faults.
• Prepare tools and components for electrical installations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Record data related to job performance and compliance with standards.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
• Valid electrical license is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in a construction or industrial setting is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Electrical Components

Certifications

• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• First Aid/CPR Certification (desirable)
