We are seeking a skilled Bow Maker to join our innovative team and craft high-quality bows for string instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each bow meets the specifications and unique needs of our clients, utilizing traditional techniques paired with contemporary insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and craft bows for various string instruments like violins and cellos.
• Select appropriate materials for each bow, ensuring optimal performance.
• Work closely with luthiers to ensure that bows integrate perfectly with instruments.
• Conduct repairs and refinishing of bows as necessary.
• Participate in exhibitions and demonstrate bow-making techniques.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for bow production.
• Implement safety protocols for the shop environment.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Fine Arts or Music is advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience in crafting or woodworking is essential
